A rusty cast iron grill isn’t something you would want to see before preparing a nice barbecue. But, the appetizing thing is that you can easily remove rust from grill grates with non-toxic household items which I’m probably sure that you can find it in your kitchen.

But, keep in mind that prevention is the best method in keeping your cast iron grills rust-free, even if, sometimes, may seem impossible. Why? Because outdoor barbecue are susceptible to rust, especially if you live in an area with high humidity!

But, rusty-rust can be removed from a cast iron barbecue super easily with this solution:

– vinegar
– baking soda

Just mix baking soda and vinegar to form a paste. At first, this combo will make a chemical reaction, but after that it will loosen up and form a paste. Now, rub the paste over the grills using a wire brush of tin foil. Let it act for 30 minutes, and then rinse well with warm water.
