The condition and state of the floors can contribute to the overall look of your home. But it’s not as easy as you think to make those surfaces of tiles to shine.
The proper cleaning you should use depends largely on the type of floor panels you have in your home.
Vinyl – Vinyl tiles are quite hardy and can usually be cleaned with a simple solution of vinegar and water. Add a cup of wine vinegar to a quart of warm water and you are ready for cleaning.
Ceramics – ceramic tiles do not need a big effort from you – pass the mopping over them and they’ll be clean; but for the most difficult situations, in which dirt is difficult to remove, try a mixture of water and vinegar. Use a towel to dry the floor after you used the mop as air drying will take some of the tiles shine.
Stone – wine vinegar can be a miracle cleaning agent, but keep it away from the stone floors. The acids in vinegar may, ultimately, produce more damage to your stone floor tiles. Instead, mix a few drops of dishwashing liquid in a quart of warm water, mop and rinse after.
Use the mop often – As often as you clean your floors, the easier it will be to mop them. Surfaces and floors should regularly be cleaned – clean them after a certain routine – but unfortunately many people wait until the floors are so dirty that they can not stand and only then they proceed on cleaning them.
